We took a family trip to Galveston with Mimi (David's mom) the weekend before school started. We stayed at Moody Gardens, and we basically did everything Moody Gardens has to offer...an indoor rainforest, an aquarium, the 'discovery' pyramid, 3-D and 4-D movies, and a ride on a replica sternwheeler. Oh...and playing at the water park! It was a wonderful, relaxing weekend.
Before the ride on the boat, you can enter your kid's name into a drawing to be an "honorary captain." Guess who won! That's right! Captain MDC3. He received a certificate and several little prizes. He also adopted Tina, David, and me as his crew and was quite comfortable in charge.
