New Braunfels

We went on our annual trip to New Braunfels earlier this month. It's always great to see family and friends! What a crowd! There were nearly a dozen young children, so Michael fit right in! He is the first great-grandkid of the bunch. We took Michael into the pool at Schlitterbahn, and we spent a day in Gruene.

4th of July Celebration

For the 4th of July, our friends Brad, Kristen, Sarah, Aaron, and James joined us for a little celebration. David made a delicious gumbo with crawfish, shrimp, and crab meat. Now that I have a working breadmaker again, I was able to make french bread. We also had salad and for dessert...red velvet cupcakes. Michael enjoyed showing off his new toys to James, and we all enjoyed having good friends over to celebrate Independence Day!

I have to thank Kristen for taking all the pictures!

Corpus Christi

We went to Corpus Christi at the end of June. It is gorgeous there! I was a delegate at the Democratic State Convention. I was very excited to hear Bill White, Democratic candidate for governor, speak.

We also spent some time on the beach, went to a Corpus Christi Hooks game, and visited the Aquarium. Aquariums are so fun with Michael. He's very interested in seeing the swimming creatures!

David posted a great story about the Hooks game: http://www.crawfishboxes.com/2010/6/27/1539497/an-astros-fans-trip-to-whataburger

G&G V Visit

My parents were in town for a week around Michael's parties. We had a lot of fun hanging out at the pool and the splash pad. Grandma and Grandpa also had the grandparent rite of passage of babysitting!

King of the Castle

Michael got a castle for his birthday from Mimi and Pop. He loves climbing on it!

And, he also got a wagon to ride in style!

A'int no party like a MDC3 party because a MDC3 party don't stop--Part II

On Father's Day, we went to the Woodlands for another birthday celebration with the family. (Oh yeah...we also celebrated the great fathers of the bunch, but really...MDC3 steals the show!) The big question...Could Michael handle MORE birthday cake? Absolutely!!!!!!

Dads can be sooooo silly!

A'int no party like a MDC3 party because a MDC3 party don't stop--Part I

Michael had two great birthday parties! On the Saturday before Father's Day, we had a get-together with friends (and G&G V) at Rudy's. What a fun day! We're so fortunate to have such awesome friends in town! And...of course, Michael loved eating his very own little birthday cake!
